Working hours
Most posts generally work to a standard 37.5 hour week. Some posts may require extra shifts, night work and/or international travel.

Annual leave
PHE offers annual leave based on years of service with a minimum of 26 days for non-medical and dental staff and a minimum of 32 days for medical and dental staff. Bank holidays and any civil service privilege days are also granted in addition to the above basic entitlement.

Special leave
Paid and unpaid leave may be available as needed. We offer generous assistance for maternity or paternity leave, or adoption leave.

Pensions scheme
